SPRINGS

Compression, extension, die, disk, torsion and other springs. These springs are standard models, but also could be made according your dimensions or drawing. Compression springs and extensions springs are with round wire and own linear characteristics. Die springs are according ISO 10243. Disk springs are according DIN 2093 and are made from spring or stainless steel. We have questionnaires for easier defining of each type springs. 

These springs could be made from the following materials according to DIN:

  • 1.1200 spring steel suitable for applications up to 1000C
  • 1.4310 stainless steel suitable for food applications up to 3000C
  • 1.8159 valve steel for high dynamic applications up to 2000C. High working life.

Other popular materials are 1.4571, 2.4632 (Nimonic), 2.4669 (Inconel), they have better characteristics and resist to aggressive medias. Thats why we need to know the application of each spring.

The standard material is spring steel 1.1200, but we can offer many other materials. Usually the springs made of stainless steel wire have approx. 15% smaller force compared to spring steel 1.1200, but could work in applications with temperature up to  2000C.

Bellow you can find some relationships of the springs:

  • Increasing the wire diameter , the spring force is increasing
  • Increasing of the outer diameter, the spring force is decreasing 
  • Increasing the coil number, the spring force is decreasing

The spring force is measured in N (Newton) and gives the maximum force that could be applied on the spring. Therefore if the applied force is bigger, then the spring will loose its spring characteristics. For a longer lifetime it is recommended to use springs with bigger force and no to be used to it’s maximum force. Converting N to kg is according the following formula:

N/9.81=Kg

To choose the right spring for your application is important to determine the main parameters. Here is these parameters: wire diameter-d, diameter of the spring -outer De or inner Di, total length Lo. If it is extension spring then we must check hooks dimensions and body length Lk.  Part of the parameters like number of coils, end coil type, hooks design could be checked by picture.

Die springs

According to ISO 10243. Made from flat wire. The color determines the force:

  • Color: green, blue, red, yellow
  • Outter diameter: 10-63 mm
  • Lenght: 25-305 mm

They are also know as a belleville washers. Made accoridng to DIN 2093, made from spring steel usually 51CrV4:

  • Outter diameter: 6-358 mm
  • Inner diameter : 3.2-242 mm
  • Height: 0.4-25 mm
  • Thickness: 0.6- 19.6 mm

Made from spring steel or stainless steel. They generate rotating torque. Usually mounted in inner diameter:

  • Inner diameter: 1,6-44 mm
  • Leg possition angle: 0, 90, 180, 270

Snap rings

Suitable for shock absorbers, because they have a large force at a small body.

Gas springs

They have a cylinder filled with nitrogen gas under pressure. Could be made from steel or stainless steel.

  • Length L: 20-500 mm
  • Force F : 20-2500 N
